You can make your own massage oil in the comforts of your own home. To do this, you will need to find a base oil to work with and some essential oils. If your massage is to have a specific function then you will need to experiment with some different blends to know how much to use to get your desired affect.

Choose your oil. You first need to choose good base oils to start with. Oils such as almond oil, aloe vera oil, castor oil, coconut oil or grape seed oil, just to name a few, can be selected.

Start your formula. For tired achy muscles, start with 200 ml of almond oil, to this add 5 drops of wintergreen. You have just made basic massage oil.

Relax your soul. This massage oil uses 200 ml of your base oil (almond oil). Now add your essential oils. Start with 6 drops of sandalwood essential oil, 2 drops of myrrh essential oil, and 2 drops of jasmine essential. Mix this blend together and experience a relaxed mood.

Let go of stress. To let go of stress, start with your base massage oil of choice. To your base oil, add 5 drops of
lavender
essential oil, 2 drops of ylang ylang essential oil, 1 drop of clary sage essential oil, and 1 drop of nutmeg essential.

Boost your energy. Create massage oil that will recharge your batteries and get you going. Start with apricot oil as your base oil; to this add 5 drops of patchouli essential oil, 3 drops of clary sage essential oil and 2 drops of eucalyptus essential oil.

Rub away your blues. Kiss the blues goodbye with the aromatic bath massage oil. For your base you will use 1/4 cup of apricot oil as your base, add 3 drops of lavender essential oil, 3 drops of ylang ylang essential oil, 2 drops of
basil
essential oil and 2 drops of geranium essential oil.
